With yoga therapy, we guide you back into connection with your body through conscious movement and breath. We work holistically, because every complaint is part of a whole person — with thoughts, emotions, a past, and an environment.

Hi, i'm Maarten,

an export product from Limburg. ​

 

In 2017 I discovered yoga during a scuba diving course in Koh Tao, Thailand. 20m under water I realized the unexpected link between the two:  ​

 

conscious breathing.

 

The calmer you breathe, the longer you can enjoy all the beautiful corals. ​

 

Since then I have followed 700 hours of yoga training in India, the US and Nepal (Hatha, Ashtanga & Vinyasa).

I further specialized in pregnancy yoga (50 hours at New Nature) and since June 2024 i am working as a yoga therapist after extensive training at The Yoga Therapy Institute, 625h. ​I am currently pursuing a additional specialization to work with cancer patients and patients with chronic pain.

Since May 2025 i am also a proud cofounder of BAYT, The Belgian Association of Yoga Therapists.

With this initiative we want to promote Yoga Therapy and it's advantages to the general public.

Sivananda Yoga

Weekly sessions in small groups, focused on health, relaxation, and the unity of body and mind. Each class builds on foundational principles for lasting results. This class is comparable to a Hatha yoga session, with an even stronger focus on body awareness — without pressure or expectations.
